If the contract says: "40 hours per week, usually means 9-5" that your employer can work these hours, even if he has a verbal agreement to work, for example, from 8.30 to 4, 30

Is what he says? Are not you the day of work or bandwidths hours? The working hours they flexible?
From that what you said, yes, it would be fairly easy for your employer to change the time because it only an oral agreement to work 8:30 to 4:30.
If I do get something in writing or by e-mail and it helps. Send an e-mail to his boss and asked for clarification that the hour from 8.30 until 4.30 clock. Keep a copy of an affirmative answer.

Yes, this means that the employer paid hours. Normal is typical, but that does not mean that the employer can not change.

You can work 9 to 5 (or similar hours), but there will be times when you come to early or late into the night.

One of my earlier work 9 should occur at 5 Monday - Friday, but in reality he was from 7.30 to 6.30 Monday to Friday and Saturday, from time to time.

No, it just means that the arrangements are - the usual time for most people. If you have agreed otherwise, do not worry about that!

Usually 9 -5 means that most people go to 9-5 or something very similar work. Keep your oral agreement exist, but be flexible. If you work 9 to 5, a few days to a special project or something, do it. Most employers want at 8 clock, but not for an hour for lunch are charged on a typical day is 8 to 5!
